How long will my membership be on hold?
Membership holds will be released upon reopening. Please contact staff for exemptions to this policy.
Is there a booking system in use?
At this time, pre-booking your appointment is not required. The online booking system may be re-instated if required.
Are hotel guests permitted to use the gym/pool?
At this time, gym and pool facilities are only open to AAC members and residents.
I’m a resident of Fort Garry place, why can’t I access the gym via the pool door?
In order to properly monitor our capacity, access to the gym and pool facilities is only available via the front door. Members wishing to use the pool can see a staff member to sign out a key at our front desk.
Do you still offer complimentary lockers during my workout?
Lockers are available for rent for $6/month.
Members should supply their own locks if you wish to secure your belongings during your workout.
Am I required to wear a mask?
Provincial Guidelines require that masks be worn in the facility as of Saturday, August 28th, 2021.
Masks may be removed when engaging in physical activity,
but worn when travelling from station to station.
Please bring your own as they are not supplied nor available for purchase.
Am I required to show proof of double vaccination?
As of Friday, September 3rd, 2021, Provincial Guidelines require that all
attendees of the facility demonstrate proof of vaccination.
Please see a staff member at the front desk prior to entering.
Is there a capacity for the gym/pool areas?
As of Saturday, August 7th, 2021
there are no capacity restrictions, however AAC recommends
2 metre social distancing.
Are you still offering towel service?
At this time, we are asking members to bring their own towels.
Am I permitted to use the showers in the locker rooms?
In an effort to reduce touch points, members should limit their use of the locker room showers. For any use of the showers and locker rooms, there are new wipe stations available. Users are asked to sanitize touch points such as shower doors prior & after use.
Do you supply hand sanitizer?
Yes, there is hand sanitizer available upon entry at the front desk & throughout the gym.
What is the protocol for cleaning/sanitizing?
Gym members are required to wipe the vinyl & handles of equipment prior to & after use using the supplied towels and hospital grade sanitizer. Towels should be disposed of in the baskets provided for sanitizing. We have increased our cleaning protocols and complete the steaming of high touchpoints several times a day.
